Urban Quest is a dynamic and energy-charged game that utilises puzzles, riddles and challenges to create a fun-filled team race through the iconic streets of CBD and other locations around Melbourne.

Virtual Urban Quest is a purely online experience. The Web is an endless world where you can roam and find interesting places, abandoned sites and hidden artefacts in even the most well-known of places.

Players access our unique Urban Quest software on their smartphones, which guides the way through the race, presenting tasks in the form of riddles or puzzles, which, in turn, lead our players to their next location. At each point, participants need to be prepared to think outside the box as they will be challenged with a variety of tasks – we can’t give any of our trade secrets away, but these could look, sound, taste, feel or be anything!

Once at the finish line, be ready for an emotional discussion as we present the detailed game progress, where every team will have a chance to see their achievements and scores, all timed by the seconds!

Virtual Urban Quest replicates the dynamics and fun of Urban Quest’s real-life amazing race style events as accurately as possible. The only difference; everything is online, run using Zoom and our proprietary gaming platform.

There’s no “i” in team, nor in Urban Quest!
Teamwork is hugely important to many of life’s successes, and Urban Quest is the perfect choice to work on these skills. The tasks are specifically structured to foster communication and lateral thinking, and the competitive atmosphere of the race naturally creates a bonding experience for the participants. We will work with you to understand your needs and goals for your group and ensure these are being achieved through the event.

Do you have a special someone you’d like to make a fuss of? (aka embarrass just a little!?) We can help! Tell us all about the subject of the occasion – their likes/dislikes/unusual habits/funny stories etc – and we can utilise those details to tailor-make an event as unique as our hero of the day!

Absolutely – we love schools, and schools love us! We offer two options – incursions and excursions. For older students we recommend our city-based route which we tweak to suit the age group; and for younger students we can bring the game to you for an on-campus event. Forget those old party games and let us take your O’week or Team Building activity to the next level with a technology-based amazing race. You can bring your students to enjoy our city-based game route or we come to you and set up on-campus or around. Our experience will be tailored to suit your objectives and are guaranteed to engage even the most reluctant and shy!

We can arrange our events for literally ANY group sizes and we recommend a minimum of 8-9 players to ensure some good healthy competition in your race.

We all know that Melbourne weather can be quite unpredictable – sunny one minute, raining the next… sunny again 5mins later!
Urban Quest aren’t quitters, so, unless in the case of extreme weather*, we will run the event regardless – after all, a little rain won’t make us melt! (….will it?)
*In the unlikely case of extreme weather, we will work with you to find another suitable date and time. However, we, fortunately, haven’t ever had any weather cancellations.

The race is inclusive for all levels of fitness as our route locations are all within an easy walking distance of each other.

We don’t want it to be too hard, either! Our main priority is that everyone has FUN so whilst our challenges are… well… challenging, they certainly aren’t a rocket science!
We regularly take on board any feedback about our existing game to ensure that it’s enjoyable for as many people as possible, and our current format is tried and tested by thousands of players so far – we are very confident that it is suitable for most people.

Our past players have been asking for more, so currently, we have multiple awesome routes that we are utilising, whilst our mad scientists are in the fun lab constantly cooking up some new tricks for more game routes.
A new set of challenges will be ready for your team to take on as many times as many you wish to come back and no task will be the same!

There are only 3 absolute essentials required on the day – a smartphone/device with mobile data; simple registration and comfy walking shoes.
Ah, and, of course, a healthy dose of good-spirited competitiveness!

Any other minor requirements (subject to change) will be made known to you prior to your event.

It’s an essential requirement for every participant to register before the event. The registration is simple and sweet: leave your basic details (for safety and legal reasons) and create or join your team. This is how you, as a participant, get access to the game on the event day!
A simple step-by-step guide on how to register will be emailed to your group’s organiser after the booking is confirmed.

Urban Quest’s game concept is totally different from those currently presented on the market – we are the only provider within our field to have our own unique gaming platform.
This means no annoying piles of paper to be passed around the group – each team member has equal access to the system which updates in real-time, which keeps our races dynamic and flowing smoothly – the way they should be!
We also can proudly boast a massive 10+ years experience of creativity and production teams and therefore are the most qualified to ensure your event is the most memorable and fun one that it can be.
