Questbusters — Docklands Team Building

Participants are divided into teams of 4–5 to ensure balanced collaboration and contribution. Each team accesses our proprietary game platform on their smartphones to receive instructions, unlock Augmented Reality clues, and submit answers.

During Questbusters, teams explore the Docklands precinct — navigating its modern architecture, public art, and waterfront spaces while solving location-based challenges.

Each task requires communication, strategy, and creative problem-solving under time pressure. A dedicated host manages the event from briefing through to the final wrap-up, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience throughout.

Urban Quest combines structured experience design, proprietary technology, and live performance tracking to deliver a team building event that is both engaging and outcome-driven.

Unlike many “Amazing Race” style activities that rely heavily on physical effort or novelty, Questbusters is designed to be inclusive, strategic, and accessible to all personality types.

For teams seeking deeper outcomes, optional Team Activator or Strategic Debrief sessions provide practical workplace insights and measurable takeaways.

We’re not just running an activity — we’re delivering a professionally facilitated team experience designed to strengthen collaboration and culture.

Your group arrives at the designated Docklands starting point before the scheduled start time. The host briefs participants, confirms team allocations, and ensures everyone is set up on the platform.

Teams then head into the Docklands precinct to complete collaborative challenges under time pressure. After the final task, everyone regroups for a structured wrap-up where scores are announced, achievements highlighted, and the winning team celebrated.

If weather conditions are unsuitable, your group can transition to our fully indoor experience located in the CBD (just one train stop away!) at the start of the event. The switch is seamless and ensures your booking proceeds as scheduled.

Even if the weather changes, your Urban Quest event will not be cancelled.

Questbusters involves light walking within the Docklands precinct (approximately 4–5 km over the duration of the event). It is not a fitness challenge, and teams move at their own pace.

The focus is on collaboration and problem-solving rather than physical performance.

Questbusters is designed to utilise accessible public infrastructure within the Docklands precinct. The majority of challenges are wheelchair accessible, allowing participants to engage fully alongside their teammates.

Questbusters supports groups from 5 to 150 participants, with larger groups available upon request depending on venue capacity.

Our technology-driven platform allows us to manage larger numbers efficiently while maintaining engagement and smooth event flow.

Participants need a fully charged smartphone with mobile data and comfortable clothing suitable for light movement.

Organisers are responsible for confirming team allocations and sharing any pre-event instructions provided at booking.
